On September 1st, the Shenzhen Science & Technology Innovation Conference & the 6th Congress of Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology were held in Wuzhou Hotel. Ma Xingrui, Deputy Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee, and Xu Qin, the Mayor of Shenzhen attended the conference and presented awards to the winners of the 2014 and 2015 Shenzhen Science and Technology Awards. At the conference, the 2015 Shenzhen Youth Science & Technology Award was presented to Shen Zhijie, President of Surfilter, for his outstanding work and contributions towards innovations in the field of information security protection and public safety auditing.

Shenzhen Science and Technology Award is the most influential science and technology innovation award in Shenzhen, which is held once a year. Seven awards including the mayor's award, are given during the event, and the total number of award recipients is not more than 120 each year. This award plays an active role in mobilizing the enthusiasm and creativity in scientific and technological workers, encourages technological innovation and promotes scientific and technological progress.
