On November 1, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen held a ceremony for the appointment of alumni distinguished professor. Jing Xiaojun, Chairman of Surfilter Network Technology Co., ltd. was appointed as distinguished professor as an outstanding alumni entrepreneur. Zhou Yu, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, President of Harbin Institute of Technology & Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, awarded him the letter of appointment. Executive Vice President of Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen Zhen Liang, Assistant to the President & Director of Educational Affairs Ma Guangfu, Assistant to the President & Director of Human Resources Liang Dapeng, et al. attended the appointment ceremony.

Dr. Jing Xiaojun, Chairman of Surfilter, studied in the Department of Computer Science, Harbin Institute of Technology from 1986 to 1995, and earned Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree and Doctor’s Degree. Chairman Jing Xiaojun has been devoted to the development of his Alma Mater and has paid attention to the growth of teachers and students. In view of this, he donated money to his Alma Mater for many times. In 2012, he successively donated one million as Guangxi Fund of the School of Computer and set up the Surfilter Education Development Fund; In 2014, one million was donated to the main campus of Harbin Institute of Technology to subsidize the education of poor students; In November 2015, 500,000 as donated to Weihai Campus of Harbin Institute of Technology for the development and construction of the campus.

Dr. Jing Xiaojun was appointed as distinguished professor, got “promoted” from an alumni entrepreneur to a distinguished professor, which meant more responsibilities. In the future, he will give full play to his own advantages and provide more help and guidance for students in his Alma Mater in terms of network information security practice, internship and employment, innovation and entrepreneurship, and career planning, show care for junior schoolmates with heart and soul, make contributions to talent training in the school with his wisdom and strength, jointly promote talent training and construction, and do his best to promote the development of the school.

In addition, 8 excellent alumni entrepreneurs were appointed as distinguished professor together with Dr. Jing Xiaojun, including Chairman of Citic Capital Zhang Yichen, Chairman of Vision Group Zhang Huanong, Chairman of HeT Liu Jianwei, Chairman of Riland Qiu Guang, Chairman of Jiang & Associates Jiang Feng, Chairman of Haote Investment Xue Zhenrui, General Manager of the Marketing Department of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Li Ying. Looking forward to further cooperation with Harbin Institute of Technology in school-enterprise cooperation and other aspects in the future, we aim to jointly promote the high-quality and featured education of Harbin Institute of Technology to a new level.
