On April 21st, 2017, the first general meeting of all members of the Mobile Internet Application Security and Copyright Alliance (Hereinafter referred to as the "alliance"), supported by the Network Security Protection Bureau of Ministry of Public Security, Guangdong Network Police Corps and Tianjin Network Police Corps was held at Guangzhou Asian National Hotel. Nearly 100 people from government departments, scientific research institutions, security enterprises and professional technicians attended the conference. As a technology support unit for mobile internet security monitoring, Surfilter joined the conference and its representatives delivered speeches at the conference site.

At the conference, Cai Xu, Deputy Head of the Guangdong Network Police Corps, and Wang Jinpeng, the main person in charge of the China Mobile Internet MM project, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the supporting units and the organizer. The conference voted to elect the governing unit of the Alliance, and as one of the co-sponsors, Surfilter was elected as the Executive Director Unit of the Alliance. The secretary of the Alliance also presented a working report to the other member units on the Alliance's conventions, organizational structure, operation model, recent work status and work plan.

At the conference, Ye Shaoqiu, the representative of the Alliance Secretariat, systematically analyzed the app-type distribution and distribution level of security vulnerabilities in major mobile app markets nationwide in her presentation titled “Report on Mobile App Security Monitoring Situation in the First Quarter of 2017”. She illustrated the monitoring situation of domestic mobile app market control and mobile security market development from the perspectives of malicious app types, geographical distribution, distribution channels, and download rankings.

She said that in the era of "Internet +", the threat of mobile app security has become more fierce. In response to supervisory authorities lacking adequate security supervision capabilities, Surfilter has developed a mobile internet app security management system guided by relevant supervisory authorities, by leveraging its independent innovation capabilities. Through the collection, analysis, handling and management of the app in the major app markets online, the problem of discovery, analysis and forensics of malicious mobile apps was resolved, and comprehensive business support is provided for regulatory requirements, helping cleanse the mobile internet space at the source.

Subsequently, Ding Long, Surfilter’s project manager, delivered a keynote speech titled “Analysis of the Status Quo and Supervision Thinking of Mobile Internet Security” at the conference. He deeply analyzed the development status of mobile security, and proposed a new mobile security supervision concept to solve the many problems and challenges that exist in current mobile security regulation: establishing and improving mobile app filing management and malicious app reporting mechanism, further strengthening the regulatory handling of mobile apps under the premise of strengthening basic resource management norms, to solve the problem of mobile security supervision, and creating a safe and trusted mobile app ecosystem.

At the conference, other representative manufacturers from the network security industry held discussions on technology with industry personnel for security solutions such as app market security risk strategy, mobile app security protection, etc.

At the end of the conference, Chen Feiyan, the Director of the Network Security and Protection Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, delivered a concluding speech. The first general meeting of the Alliance members came to a successful conclusion in a pleasant atmosphere. The presentations on mobile security solutions provided by representatives of different parties, indicate the possibility to create a healthier and safer mobile internet space with the cooperation of Alliance members.


As an innovative enterprise in the field of information security in China, and as a supporting unit for mobile internet security monitoring technology, Surfilter will work together with mobile security monitoring entities to jointly create a good network security industry environment, and work together to build a mobile internet ecosystem to create a safe mobile internet future.
