China internet network security threat governance coalition established | Surfilter among first batch of member units

Surfilter was invited to participate in the internet security threat governance action summary conference jointly held by CNCERT and network and information security working committee of the Internet Society of China, on February 26th, 2016.


For the purpose of consolidating the action and ensuring achievements and building the long-term mechanism of internet network security threat governance, the establishment of China internet network security threat governance coalition was announced at the conference, and the first batch of 90 enterprises applied to join it. Surfilter is among the first batch of coalition members.



This conference was hosted by Shi Xiansheng, current Deputy Secretary General of the Internet Society of China,Yun Xiaochun, Deputy Director of CNCERT, Yuan Chunyang, Deputy Director of the Network Security Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Huang Xiaosu, Director of the Eleventh Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, Liu Bo, Deputy Director of the Network Security Coordination Bureau of the Central Network Information Office and other department leaders, who delivered speeches during the conference.


Since its launch on July 31st, 2015, the association has received information on 109,972 network security events in total reported by netizens, handled 71,220 network security events, and published 54,614 blacklist addresses. DDoS attack event frequency decreased from the daily 1,491 cases before the launch of the association to the current daily 265 cases, a decrease of 82.2%. Compared with before the launch of the association, the number of tampered domestic websites decreased 21.4%, among which, tampered government website decreased by 56.2%.



Zhou Yonglin, Deputy President and Network Security Chief Strategy Officier of Surfilter was invited to give a speech at the conference. He said that Surfilter will actively participate in concerned works, effectively implement enterprise responsibility, and firmly maintain China's network security.

The coalition’s establishment purpose for building a public communication platform within the industry was further illustrated during the conference. The coalition is guided by industry self-discipline and will connect upstream and downstream entities in the network security arena. It will give full play to the strengths of the coalition member units, and enhance information sharing and mutual cooperation on internet network security threats. It will implement regulations for various threats closely related to the dark web, and effectively cleanse the network security environment, while maintaining user network security and interests. The coalition will establish a good image of China as a responsible big country in the internet domain.
