Recently, the worldwide WannaCry ransomware caused heavy losses to many enterprises and institutions, and raised a lot of attention to network security. On May 24th, Phoenix Satellite TV’s program “Approaching Politics and Business” interviewed Surfilter’s network security experts on network security protection, with a view to understanding strengthening of information security protection and reducing internet threats and losses in the "Internet +" era.

On May 12th, 2017, the WannaCry Blackmail Worm broke out taking advantage of the MS17-010 vulnerability around the world and infected a large number of computers.

On May 23rd, 2017, the 2017 China Network Security Annual Conference was held in Qingdao, Shandong, on the theme “Fusion Promotes Development, Collaboration Jointly Builds Security”. More than 900 people from government, enterprises, industry associations, universities and research institutes, as well as representatives from CNCERT international partners, attended this conference.

On May 5th, CCTV Finance Channel interviewed Zhong Guohui, General Manager for Wireless Security at Surfilter, on the security of public WiFi. He shared his views on the public WiFi security model, the future development of the public WiFi industry, and Surfilter’s market strategy in the field of public wireless security and network security.

From April 26th to 28th, the Beijing International Internet Technology Expo & World Network Security Conference was held at the Beijing Exhibition Hall.

On April 21st, 2017, the first general meeting of all members of the Mobile Internet Application Security and Copyright Alliance (Hereinafter referred to as the "alliance"), supported by the Network Security Protection Bureau of Ministry of Public Security, Guangdong Network Police Corps and Tianjin Network Police Corps was held at Guangzhou Asian National Hotel.

On December 3rd, the 2016 Annual General Conference of China Network Security Industry Alliance was successfully held in Beijing, where Surfilter was reelected as the Director Unit of China Network Security Industry Alliance. More than 300 representatives of domestic network security experts and alliance members attended the conference.

From November 16th to 18th, the 3rd World Internet Conference was successfully held in Wuzhen.

On the afternoon of November 3rd, the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government held a private entrepreneur symposium to award Shenzhen enterprises that were listed in the 2016 Top 500 China Private Enterprises list.
